The default feed in WordPress is normally RSS. However, many companies, including Google, have thrown more support behind the Atom syndication format. Atom is better designed, more robust, well-defined, and supports publish capabilities as well.
WordPress does support Atom, but not as the default feed. This plugin changes that, so that the default feed output is Atom format.
WordPress 2.5 or higher.
- Changes default feeds to Atom format.

This plugin is licensed under the GPL Version 2 only.
Method to get support
You are free to email me, however I am also a moderator at the WordPress.org support forums, so you’ll find me there as well.
So, changing RSS to Atom wouldn’t cause any trouble for our readers?
I’ve been using it on my sites since I wrote it. Haven’t had any issues. Everything shows up fine in readers and such.
Cool! I will try it 🙂
Thank you for these freat plugins!
